Some of yall scare me.

Comparing a fish the size I wouldn't use for bait to a dog or a horse ???And some similar posts got me to thinking I might not be "fish" kinda folk.lol.

Then the clincher came today.I stoped by the local pets mart & loaded up on some gear.Got the stuff home & asked the ole lady to wash the rocks.

She comes in laughing & asks me to read the bag.

This is from Estes'.......they make rocks........Here's what they had to say.

"Coated Natural decorative aggregates(Meaing rocks.lol)have been developed for use as a decoritive product for tropical fish aquariums and(Get this)terrariums !!!!(I suppose you could use these rocks just about anywhere.lol)(BTW.....How does a fella develop a rock ???.lol)

Now the really weird part........

"If they keep quiet,the stones will cry out."

(Neither one of us got a clue on that one.lol)

It is the desire of the Estes' company that the stones in this bag will cry out about the quality of product,and the intergity,honesty and dedication of the owners & managers of this company.There is a reason why we find itso very important to hold on to these principles.

(All I can say is.......Do whut.)

I'm startin to wonder about fish folk.lol

I'm guessin most of yall aint GW supporters is ya ???.lol
 
Lol, ive seen that brand of aquarium gravel. They are pretty wierd. Maybe a foreign company, that had something fall out in translation> who knows

Thats a really weird quote for a rock making company (?!) Its from the Bible, something jesus said about if the people were forced to be quiet, then the trees and the rocks would cry out to jesus. Why thats on a bag of rocks? search me..
 
Weird quotes aside, Estes is IME the nicest aquarium gravel I've found. It's clean and there are tons of varieties that are natural looking. I love the stuff.

And a fish is not responsible for, or aware of, its small size;)
 
I didn't know Jesus had an aquarium :p
 
aw, maybe they just thought the quote was nice, since it was related to their product and didn't realize the source. On the other hand... they may did realize.
 
I read the same thing on the Estes bags the other day. They do make some nice looking gravel though. I just did the substrate in my 55 gal. with some walnut colored river stone....very nice looking.

I'll have to listen very closely tonight after the lights go off and maybe I'll hear something, lol.

Now you have to understand.

If any of us tell you what it means before you figure it out for yourself. We will have to send a wood paneled mini van full of fishgeeks over to your house to kill you.

We can't have the aquaria secrets of the world getting out to just anyone. Once you get the new decoder ring ....opps I have already said to much.
