I got an Eheim 2213 knowing it would work with a 10g tank. The box says its ok with 45cm-75cm tanks.

I tried 2 setups the spraybar

and the wide jet outlet.

The spraybar bombards my anubias on top while the jet outlet bombards the plant on the leftmost. Is there anyway i can control the outflow? Pointing the spraybar downward just uprooted my plants at the back.

I also tried putting feeds and it was just caught in the wild current. I think my fish won't be able to swim in the upper part to get food in the surfcace(if ever there's some left). Do you usually turn off your filter before feeding your fish? My cycling is almost ready and i just want to know if there's anything i can do.

thanks in advanced.

no spary bar just tubing

I have mine with no spray bar, just a short length of tubing held in place with suction cups. If you direct it to hit the side wall, from maybe 5" away, that will diffuse the flow.
