RNs idea thread

The lfs found me a 180, with stand and sump for 150, and the current owner needs it gone soon, so the owners of the lfs are going to hold it for me. My plans are developing nicely. :)

Nice score I'm jealous, been wanting to upgrade my 90g to 150-210ish but I keep missing the good deals.
 
Thanks, yeah it should be sweet. Its not drilled, but I'm thinking of drilling one end and set it up as a peninsula tank.

Well actually I talked to him, and the stand is 100 more, so 250 total. Still a good price I think. The lfs owner can build custom metal stands with adjustable feet. So I may go that route, I haven't decided yet.

Thats still pretty good with the sump and all. I don't know what the $100 stand is but I do like wood stands better especially for tanks running a sump so you can keep everything hidden away. Have a 55g sump/fuge on my 90g wouldn't want it exposed to the world.
 
The stand is wood, only issue I have is that the tank is going in the basement, and the floor isn't exactly level. The custom stand will have adjudtable feet, plus I'll never have to worry about having an issue with the stand, if I paint/seal it properly. And i can change up the sump easily. I do plan on putting wood paneling up around the stand.

$250 is a very good price on a 180 with stand. Congrats on the find!
