My green wooden bubble stick has some brown spots on it now I just noticed. What's this junk? No problem, just curious.

Probably brown algae (diatoms). Is it growing on other stuff or just the bubble stick? My bubble walls get it too, and I have to poke new holes occasionally because they get a bit gummed up.
