I have a large Cryptocoryne wendtii growing in my 55G, by large I mean huge, its probably about 2 thirds as tall as the tank and a big thick bush. I have a few smaller crypts in the tank as well, just wondered if it was possible for me to split the larger one and move some into another tank I have.

Thanks.

Is it one plant? Or a bunch close together? Crypts propagate by sending runners through the substrate. You can clip the runners to separate the plants.

Thought I'd stick in a pic of my crypts. I bought some small ones, but the big one came as a hitchhiker tangled in the roots of another plant. Started small, but has taken over half the tank with runners over 3 years.

First planted, it's down there in the middle, with another variety of crypt nearer the front;

Today, runners over half the tank

Cool thanks, I need to get some updated pictures of my tank as well. Mgamer a lot of the plants you sold me are growing nicely, some of the taller ones are closing in on the top of the tank.
