Haustrums CAN and WILL eat huge quantities of aquarium plants overnight. Somehow I got a haustrum in one of my planted tanks (even though they are not missing from the one tank i had them in) and at an ENTIRE anubias nana mother plant overnight....sigh!

i had wondered where all my ferns and crypts in that tank had disappeared too, arrrrr!

Wow! Thanks for the heads up!

Sorry to hear about the Anubias.

Though, isn't this more of a known fact than a rumor?

yea it is, lol, i had just never tested it. I still have no clue where the snail came from, how it got in that tank, or how long its been there. My only haustrum that I knew I owned is in another, lidded tank across the room and was smaller than sexually mature when i got it. No eggs have been laid...its very mysterious!

Another invert mystery at the jinkz household! I bet they come from the same place as the mystery cherries.

Nope, although it has to have been awhile as its well over golf ball sized...it was just since all the plants disappeared that I noticed it (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)

i guess the haustrums in the tank across the room heard about the greener pastures :lipssealedsmilie:

Hope nothing irreplaceable was mowed down

Aww Rach I got rid of mine as I noticed that plants were missing way more often than I wanted:(

They were cute though:(
