:help:Hi everyone,
I'm new here and have a couple tank problems.
I have a few snails in my 30 gal. tank. The largest has been kind of sickly and I thought he was dead, but today he's up on the glass and I can see a white worm-like creature coming out from the inside of his shell...(yuck). What do I do?
I am going to do a waterchange and vacume today, but should I try and remove the worm?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give,
Angie

Wait! Are you sure it isn't just his breathing tube? DON'T remove it before we see pics. Please!

I agree, can you get pics? it would be very unusual for a snail to host a visible parasite. I have a feeling its part of its anatomy.

I agree, it will ultimately do more harm then good in trying to remove it. Please get a picture if possible to help us identify and solve this mystery for you.

Hi guys,
I tried to attach a pic but it must not have worked. I will attach it here.
I have seen his siphon and it's brown, this is an off-white long worm-like thing.
