I have 8 fish in QT. 5 Clowns, 2 True Perculas small; 3 Ocellaris - Tank Bred (Europe), in a 20g. Also, Blue Tang, Solomon / Fiji-Tiny; Chevron Tang - small;& Archiles Tang - medium, in another 20g. My question is is one - two weeks enough for QT? They all are eating real good and look very healthy, The one tank has high off the chart Nitrites, even with 20% water changes every other day! Time and all. These very good looking fish will be going into a 125g with soft and hard corals and a Sailfin Tang, 2 Firefish, one Lawnmower Blennie, and one Black Blennie, and hundreds of Crabs, Snails, & Turbos.

I would say a minimum of 4 - 6 weeks for the quarentine....just to be on the safe side.

Look at it this way...leave them in the Q - tanks for another 2 - 4 weeks and be very sure they're healthy. OR...go ahead and put them in the tank, and be VERY angry when 2 weeks from now, something pops up and infects your whole tank with some kind of parasite or disease.

Is the tank with the Tangs the one with Nitrite? If so I would get them out immediatly. Tangs do NOT tolerate bad water quality and all will come down with ich really easily. Also I would not combine all those tangs in a 125. The Achilles is an extremely aggressive Tang and will harass the others especially those in the Acanthurus family. One tang in a 20 is too small, let alone 3, even for qt. Also the point of quarentining is to keep fish seperate so they don't stress one another and give something to someone else. So at this point I would at least put the Tangs in the 20g into the big tank before they start going downhill. Also, I am assuming you have researched on the Tangs purchased and know that the Achilles must be able to graze 24/7 in order to survive so you will have to have lots of algae to keep it healthy. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck with them!

I do feed quite a bit of sea veggies (every day) rubberbanded around a small rock. I'm also going to add the Archilles last a couple of days after the others are introduced (tonight and tomorrow)!
