They're outgrowing my tanks (50 and 12 nano). The fern thats in my 50 was in my nano. Is there a way to prune them to discourage the height? The anubias (I think nana) is overtaking the tank.

The brighter the light source the shorter the plant growth, especially low light plants.

I don't' know man, I think you got that backwards! All you can do is cut the leaves off, the whole leaf at the base and then let it re grow. I have had Java fern under extremely bright light and it grew like crazy and tall. I have found Anubias to grow just as big or bigger under bright light, and a little faster. Lowering the light will limit the growth or slow it down, but you may not want to do that either.

I'm w/Robert H on this one. The fact that both Anubias and Java Fern can and will make do with lower light does not mean that they are "low-light" plants. It is a "survive" versus "thrive" issue.
