im getting my new tank tomorrow. how long can plants survive in a bag of water. i plant to buy everything tomorrow, including plants. take it home set it up, then wednesday getting the bio-spira and putting in the fish.

my questions are, will plants be ok with bio-spira? and also could some mid to low light plants survive in a bag of water from the LFS for an hour or two while i set up the tank.

Plants can survive for a couple of days in a bag, unless they were already in poor condition to begin with.

Plants aren't affected by Bio-Spira, while they both compete for ammonia and nitrates, the plants will outcompete the bacteria for what they need and the bacteria will handle the rest.
