small gold fish pond

I'm moving to a new house in a month. The new house has a small gold-fish garden pond. The pond is approx. 3'x3' and has 6 medium sized gold fish.

I have a 30 gallon community tank and have a good bit of experience with freshwater tanks but no close to nothing about outdoor garden ponds.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction where I should look for information? Any pitfalls or advice for dealing with this pond?

You may want to slide down the page a bit to the General Coldwater or the Indoor/Outdoor Ponds forum. There are probably a lot of threads in there you could read through, and you might get better responses there.

Sounds like a lot of goldfish for a 3 by 3 pond.

i have a 150 gallon mini pond with 8 goldfish and, 3 mosquito minnos, and a bunch of tadpoles. Not that much different then your aquarium except i use chemicals to clear the elgi.
