Just Curious. :dive2:

I haven't, but if I had a really neat oddball fish, or something that really stands out, I might.

If you have, and want to post, please put the name of the fish as well as the species. :)

This should be fun.

Happy Posting,
Freddy

'Shredder' and 'Corpse Grinder' are what I named my pair of Salvini cichlids.

The only fish I ever named was a goldfish I had gotten for my birthday. His name was Fluffy. He was an awesome, very personal, very perky and fun to watch fantail goldfish. I had him for roughly 6 years. Shortly after I moved into my new apartment he died of a major PH spike. (I still struggle with maintaing the PH in this place, one week the water out of tap is fine, next week it's low, next week it's high)
He was the only fish I cried over. My avatar pic is a drawing I did of him.

Check out my sig, I name most of my fish, except Cories, Tetras and the little fish.

Only name I have not entered is my Oldest Leuelupi Fry called Mowhawk, he was the biggest of the first clutch and the only one we have not sold. I will be breeding him later...

similar but not

i have a lot of red turquiose discus. All are siblings. They are very distinct, but with 16 fish, even as large as they are, only about half are individuals to me. Their patterns are mostly different, some have black bands around the fins, some have mostly blue in the lower fins. Some are larger and some smaller. I have names for about half of them; the oddballs -- the biggest, the smallest, the blue-est, the blackest, the ones with distinct markings that spell letters or words, the shyest, the meanest, and the friendliest.

In the planted tank, there are 30 cardinals, 10 serpaes, 5 broken stripe tetras, 5 kuhlies, a couple of cories -- no names in that tank at all!

My family names any fish that isn't in a school cause when they school we can't tell one from the other :)
