Wacky Fishy Oddity

I've seen it happen with amphibians and reptiles--most usually live a fairly normal life span.

From the looks of the lower mouth - it looks to me like a snake-like mouth forming. Of course, it's not that...

I don't know why but I found that funny....yet gross!!!LOL

Very strange. No way and heck I would eat it....eeewwww.

That's a weird looking fish!

Around here there's a lake that's full of "horny" chub. I guess it's some kind of genetic trait that has become dominant. Most of the chub in the lake have two or three small horns on their heads!

HOLY SMOKES!! I have NEVER heard of anyone that knew about these fish..I used to catch them when i was a kid...Never did figure out what they were...Knew they were Chub, but the horns are weird..Where do you live?
 
What a surprise - I didn't expect anyone to believe me much less know what I was talking about. I live in northern Maine. I've only seen them in this one certain lake, but there certainly could be other populations of them.
