To be honest the LFS didn't really give me any details at all. Just said fine so I may have to look into it myself. Phos is at 0.25 and I just checked and there is no metal or rust in the entire tank. Don't believe I am overskimming but if I was how would I know and what effects are there?

I was told by a reefer if your alk is off the corals will not be able to absorb your calc. I dose super buffer once a week. If I stop I see a decline in all my corals.

That's true those two (along with Mg) need to stay in balance to function correctly but any decent salt mix will provide what is needed until a reef tank fills in quite a bit. Assuming regular water changes are being done.
