This is the reason cichlids all over are torchured lol.... misinformation


DO NOT.. i repeat DO NOT put ANY kind of cichlid besides a dwarf into anything smaller than a 55g...

they need room to swim.. and they also do very poorly without other cichlids.

Many cichlids can live and thrive in tanks less than 55 gallons.

I would do a dwarf gourami in the 20 and even some cory for the bottom.

A single Angel Fish (provided it's not a 20g long) with a few plants.. That's what I'm currently in the process of building in my 20g..

The biased Lupin mutters snails and shrimps along with a group of show quality guppies or threadfin rainbows and stalks off flushing deep pink.

If it were mine, I would set up a brackish tank with some Knight Gobies. Man, they are so cool.
