equipment doesnt matter really, unless we're talking about some really high end filters and lights.

Took me 6 months of shopping on Craigslist before I found a decent deal - 75 gal w/ stand, glass top, light fixture, heater and (crappy) filter for $100. Had to drive 40 miles to get it, but a lot better than most people around here were trying to charge for used fish tanks. Also seems to depend on the area that you're in - for some reason here in Georgia, used tanks sell at crazy prices. I inquired about a few that I felt were overpriced only to be told they were already sold before I could even see if the price was negotiable. So I guess it just depends.

Good luck with whatever you find though. If you're happy with the setup, and comfortable with the price, really that's what matters.
