Thanks RD.

I was having a lot of hang ups about terracing and using the whole tank myself, and that led me to thinking about aquariums the way people think about terrariums, and how they really maximize the plantable areas of the tank.

I shot video of the prototype I built before building this cork tank... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzNLEXyggJ4 but haven't shot video of the 20g yet. I should. The bamboo shrimp are fascinating. And I may be changing the stock up soon, so it would be nice to have a record of this group. I'll put it on the todo list.

I love it! It's awesome when people push aquariums to strange new places and this certainly does that. Nice job.

yeah, a single young SAE saved the day. He obliterated the algae problem in a matter of weeks.

This tank is, however, almost empty right now... one cherry barb, 7 rasbora kubotai, and a few shrimp. The kubotai are likely to move out in about a month. It's waiting for me to make up my mind as to it's new inhabitants. I'm considering a few options, celestial pearl danios, a shrimp only tank, lowering the water and having vampire crabs... not really sure what to do. leaning towards a pair of dwarf gourami right now.
