Are you sure that's starlight bristlenose? From what I can see in those pictures, there are no white spots, there are no white seams on the dorsal or caudal fins, and there is some striping in the dorsal fin, all of which seem to contraindicate starlight bristlenose. I love those, want some, and have done a pretty good amount of research on those, and while not an expert, I don't think your BN was accurately identified. In fact, yours looks a lot like my mutt BN.

Here is a link to Planet Catfish and their write up on the L-183 Starlight Bristlenose Catfish: http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=221

Other than that, nice looking tank. What kind of sand are you using?

What type of plants are you using? I'm starting an SA biotope myself and can't figure out what plants to use.

Nice, but the tanks looks too organized. Your plants look like little soldiers. All standing in a straight line. Maybe put the first sword on the left behind the DW to the side.

Well I was told it was a starlight BN but now that you showed me that link I realized it probably is just a mutt BN Pleco. And I'm using a sand called Natural Tan Sand by Aqua-Terra. Here's a link to where I bought it: http://www.thatpetplace.com/freshwater-substrate-aqua-terra-natural-tan-sand-5lb

And yea my tank looks so organized cause I'm kinda of OD about that stuff and for whatever reason I'm obsessed with my plants being in order lol. but thank you all again!

Sorry, dude. I love L183s, and don't have room (in my opinion, at least) for another BN in my tank, and I have no *good* reason to rehome my current one, so I'm waiting for either another tank or for this one to pass before getting a L183 or two.

LOL. That's OK. It is your tank. You MUST like it, you see it all day.

It is the same thing I tell my husband.
