If your going to vacuum your gravel with every water change, a UGF is fine (IMO), if not, then no way jose 
Anyway... My tank is heavily stocked, and I've got 2 penguin 330's on it (55 gal.)... That kinda overdoing it, but I llove the penguins (emperors too) so I figured sticking with two 330's vs. the one I had would be best... course thats a whole lotta surface aggitation, which isn't conducive to a planted tank...
If I was going to do it over again, I would have done a emp. 400 and fluval 404...
