I had 5 juveniles in my 30g. I now only have 3 (2 Altums died - wild caught and very expensive! grrrr!) and they are moving home at the end of the month to my 100g. My tank is 30g, 2ft high and one of my angels is already 6 inches "tall" and around 4" long. They need a min of an 18" high tank - if you are buying Altums (real ones not scalrae crosses) then i would suggest a 2ft high tank as they grow 2" bigger both ways than scalrae (evetually!).
My angels were already in my 30g when I added some cardinals in preparation for stocking the 100g - they were not interested at all. I did however get some young cardinals last week that I would not put with them - if it can fit in their mouth they'll try to eat it.
