Sounds like a confirmed bachelor. All of the additional fish suggestions are good, I would stay away from the Silver Dollars and the Bala Sharks because they get big and can be disruptive.

that is always the risk with angels.
dominant males can be extremely territorial.

I would stick with the lone angel (they are fine that way) dithers will help keep it comfortable.
you may have an angel that was previously ID'd as a male.

larger tetras will be okay as well as hatchet fish(have a good cover on the tank tho)
corydora work with them as well. so you could get 5-6 cories.

BN's I prefer over oto's and a clown plec would be ok as well.. make sure to have driftwood as the clown plec eats wood.

possibly bolivian rams ..but remember this tank is relatively small
so the suggestions for bottom dwellers would be either /or

BTW I have a similar situation.. a dom male in a 29 with black neons (3 left) he ate my neons ;)and blue rams pair and a single bn male.
he has spawn potential as a successful male who rears fry but he's rough on the girls(killed 2)
