Unfortunately my aquascaping designs are not a reflection of my opinion. Having no job really limits the amount of spending money I have for the hobby. Once I get one I plan on finding some driftwood and medium sized pebbles/rocks. Floating plants are still up for grabs. What I can do for you is find a picture of what I mean.

This is an aquascaping based off of the fishes natural habitat. This fish is commonly found amongst rocky areas with mangled branches. If you would like another picture for some more ideas I have a few more.

i did left to right, works nice

i also made it look like a slope so it went from 2" gravel left to about 6-8" on the right. the val was on the right, it would reach top then grow across.
also put the driftwood on side so it was coming out of slope
