ok guys, here he is when he was 20-22". since then i put him in my friends 180 gallon until i get another giant tank running again. he is an aggressive male who beat up 2 other sailfin plecos the same size. i guess 450 gallons isnt big enough for more than one pleco. i will take more pics soon. this is the tank which is 10 feet long. the silver dollars were around 6" long just for size comparison.

I have 2 plecos, one 12 in and 1 11 in, in Chicago if anyone is interested. Getting too big for my tank, and my bio-load.

Jaysen, your sailfin is so handsome, but he is also scaring me a bit. I adopted a wee lil pleco in March, not knowing what kind. Recently ID'd him as an l83 gibby sailfin. I am hoping he doesn't get quite as big as yours!
