So I added sammi the assassin to my 10 gallon tetra tank on September 24. Started breeding bladder snails in separate tank for him. Flash forward 6 months later I added too many snails for him to eat when he wasn’t hungry and they bred in his tank. No biggy. Figure he will get them eventually or I’ll scoop them back to their tank. Today while cleaning I found assassin eggs! Sammi is a girl! Is it possible for those eggs to be fertilized? Could she have been fertilized for this long and only now laying eggs when there is an abundance of snails to eat?
