Betta water conditioner

Got a new betta last week in a 5.5 tank with heater and filter, live plants and couple of nerite snails. I see that there is a betta water conditioner but I use prime in my 50 gallon. Can I just use prime in with the betta water or is there really something different with the betta conditioner that I should use that instead?

I'd just use Prime and keep up with regular weekly water changes. Throw some seeded filter media from your 50g in your Betta tank filter and you'll be instantly cycled.
