Black Convict/Jack Dempsey Pairing Up?????

I have a situation like that going on in my tank with a male Jd and a Female Gt,Dont know what will come of it but for now there not trying to kill eachother.

i don't think they can have hybrids, but i'm not the central american expert so idk. . . that is interesting though. are they the same size about? or is the convict much bigger?

no they can breed with about any central american cichlid.. trust me my pink con had bred with HRP,tried nanos,firemouths,jacks and texas
