Blue Cathode...Moon Lights on a Budget!!!

I've never seen them at Home Depot but you could ask. I got mine online thru a computer source store. If they're too bright, buy a transformer with multiple settings and you can turn them down (or up). Not sure but using more power might shorten their life.

I have used old phone chargers before, you will need to look on the charger and it will give you the output voltage and current output. I think they are usually 6-9 volts.

I used a 120 Ac to 12v Dc 1.5 amp because the 1 amp was out, it does not work is that too much amperage?
