Well, to update.. I see it occasionally picking things off the rock (however I put a piece of the seaweed salad stuff on the rock, and it picked at the stuff around it.. didn't even touch the seaweed salad stuff), and it goes crazy when I put the mysis shrimp in there. It still likes to sit underneath it's rock sideways though (which I think is strange). Seems like it's playing hide and seek with me...

They do that too ... sliding under rocks horizontal ... also try rubbing the seaweed with your fingers so small pieces float away into the water .. maybe he'll take a small piece and find out he likes it.

Also try rubberbanding it to a rock or a frag disc and keep it in the water a little more natural than with clips on a suction cup .. maybe when you're not around when he's more comfortable he'll take it.
