I have two platy fry in a breeding net hanging in my 30 gallon tank. I'm sure they would be history now if they weren't isolated from the other fish, which include gouramis and rainbowfish. I feed the fry brine shrimp and flake food that I crush as finely as possible in my fingers. When I need to clean the breeding net, I carefully place an ordinary fish net under the fry and raise it to the surface, lower the breeding net and empty it, raise the breeding net up under the fish net, and remove the fish net from the water. Just be careful not to touch the fry with the net.
