Can heat affect unused silicone?

And now I'm ready to seal it. Still kicking myself in the *** for taking that trim off.

If anyone reads this, could I seal it, test it in 2 days, then if it works push the trim on the top and run a bead all around it on the inside where the bottomed of the trim meets the glass? I don't see why I couldn't just wondered.

I might just seal it, push the trim on, run a bead around the trim on inside of the tank and suck it up and redo it if it doesn't work =/
