It does look effective, and like you put some time into how you wanted it before you started building.

I'd definitely suggest painting the inside though... It won't take long for that plywood / chip board to degrade from the moisture. And, even white paint is effective at reflecting light.

What are the all blue compact florescent bulbs in the upper left and right of the picture? I’m not familiar with bulbs that look like that???

All the lighting is on timers . 4pm the lights are on except the black light ,
At 9pm the strip lighting turns off and the blue compact florescent bulbs stay on (This looks cool) at 10pm they go off and the black light turns on (Also looks cool) 2amturns off tank turns DaRk no light .

I did it to get a moon light effect I thaink it works . And the blue twerly baulbs help with the deep blue look when the strip lights are on .

I think the fans help keep it dry/no moister . But it would not hurt to paint it .
