Cichlid with Tiger barbs

do your gold barbs not get attacked by your tiger barbs because mine got the snot kicked out of them
Cichlids are considered aggressive? No. Certain cichlids are brutal. Others are shy and almost humble. Really depends on the species.
A pair or two of Cryptoheros sajica? These are relatively territorial, but they mind their own business unless someone enters their territory during breeding. How about a pair of Thorichthys maculipinnis? Even less territorial than the sajicas, and spectacularly colored.

You could have 2 pairs of Rainbows, Firemouths, Arcaras, or Bolvian rams. These are generally not very aggressive and a 75 gallon should be enough space for them all.
How about a Blood Parrot. The Tiger Barbs would leave them alone and they are very colorful and interesting.
i would just like to point out chichlids have personality. some can be aggressive but also some can be peaceful.
