Set up my 36 gallon a few weeks ago from seeded filter pad from my 20 gallon...have 4 platys...3 added after 1 full week of letting the tank do its thing after seeding & 1 other platy & angel added at week 2....now water is cloudy...did a 20% water change with vacuum of gravel over the weekend and it seems the cloudiness was made a little worse...
Also added an additional hob filter but I turned it off as it made way too much noise.
Levels are all good .... They have been routinely: ammonia 0 - .25(only first 2 days @ .25), nitrite 0, nitrates a bit higher... But about 20 ish.
Feeding lightly every other day. How long will this take to clear? Can I do another water change this weekend?
Can I a different/quieter hob filter or should I wait until this clears up?
