I had my tanks running for about 6 months before I starting putting fish in, even then only a few hardy fishes.
Now, a year later I'm still adding fishes (although im broke and am now done).
Also you must acclimate everything you put int he tank, especially invertibrates and fishes.
I just finished with my copperband butterfly and didnt take any pictures, but there was a vid out there that shows the best way to do it.
