I kinda made a mistake today while setting up my filter and cracked the lid where the hose goes in. The crack is from the 1 inch hole that the fitting goes in all the way across the lid. I hooked up the filter and turned it on and even though the lid doesn't hold water, the water splashes up on the lid and the water finds its way to the crack and makes a nice puddle on top of the wet/dry. I went out and bought some 100% silicone from the store and put it on the lid but I was told that it would take 3 days to cure. Since the lid will really only be in contact with water that splashes up on the lid do i really need to wait that long or will it be ok to put the lid back on in a day?
