Glad to hear that you have things under control now. Contrary to what you will be told, mollies do not need salt and are not better for having it. They do need water that is higher in dissolved solids than yours is so unless you are ready to add crushed coral or similar items to drive the pH and hardness up, they would not be a good choice for your water.
I find it is always better to match my fish to the tap water than to try to match the water to my fish. Unfortunately that means I am limited to the tougher egg layers and most of the livebearers. To me a molly is not even a challenge but keeping a healthy angel is a terrible strain. For your water, you are likely to find just the opposite. Angels should be very easy and mollies will take special care to even survive.
