WAIT, so are y'all telling me im supposed to treat the water BEFORE dumping it into the tank? I've always added prime to my tank, THEN added replacement water.

May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume.

you will use less prime if you treat it first...

when you have 20-50 tanks... you will invest one...

I'll stick with my initial plan of a trash can and aging the water 24 hrs. If they ever switch to chloramines here I might have to bite the bullet though.
