A male isn't going to ignore it's natural inclination to breed...depending on the tank size multiple females is an option, but you can't force a fish not to breed.

They can breed im just not breeding them . Its a 55.

Even if you get a male there's no guarantee the "pair" would be compatible, which usually doesn't end well.
Would it be better to add more females or leve her alone?

personally, I'd try adding one or two more females and a single male. plant heavily, and I wouldnt think you'll have too much trouble with aggression.
