Does condensation on glass canopy affect light from penetrating into the tank?

I have a quick question.
does condensation on glass canopy affect light from penetrating into the tank?

i have never had this issue affect my plants it could maybe affect High light plants

My Highlight plants don't seem to mind but a lot Depends on what kind of light fixture you have and the actual amount of light hitting the Cover.

The heat from the lights will warm up the glass and keep the condensation down if they are close enough to the glass.

Having a high amount of condensation will increase the scattering of the light and can decrease the PAR levels in the tank. It's a small amount though and not worth worrying about.

Yes it would.

My tanks (both) have no glass on top. I get much more light, and have not had (too many fishes) jump out.

I have only lost 2 fishes to jumping in almost 10 years with no top.

i also took my hoods off because i was getting some nasty protein build up on it along with some gross looking algae!!
