I have a RO/DI unit and I read something online when I was reading a review for a membrane on Amazon. Apparently this person routes the waste water line of one RO unit to another RO unit to double the amount of DI water production with less waste water. Has anybody tried this before?

I checked the waste water of my unit and it is only ~220ppm which I wouldn't think would be to hard for another RO unit... or is it a water pressure issue? Thanks!

It's a water pressure issue. The waste water line has already gone through the flow restrictor and you would have a difficult time getting the pressure up on the second membrane. You simply can't pull the water through the waste line fast enough to build up enough pressure.

Muliple membrane systems use a T fitting to distribute the water coming in from the prefilters to each membrane as Zigman said.
