I can easily get pond snails but i don't have an empty tank to breed them. Would it hurt to put some in my betta fish? She's in a 10 gallon tank by herself. I put about 6 snails in my puffers tank and they were gone in about 2 or 3 days. I'll try to get some more snails for them. they do seem to love their snails.

Betta won't mind, but she might limit how fast they reproduce--my betta harrasses snails, and they'll happy munch on the eggs.

Like OrionGirl said, I doubt the betta would care. You can really set up anything that holds water for a snail culture. A tupperware or rubbermaid container is a quick and easy "tank" to grow snails in.
