When I had my Krib pair in the 40g tank they dug a pit through 4" of sand and under a large rock and bred regularly. And eventually they'd take out the surviving half-dozen babies to swim around, which would quickly get picked off. I moved them to their own tank and the breeding stalled. Threw in a killifish and a few tiny feeder guppies as dither fish a couple weeks ago and the Kribs starting dancing all over the tank. Haven't seen any babies yet but may still be too early. Next thing to try out is switching out the gravel for sand in that tank since I've heard they may not breed without sand.

Funny how surrounded by potential predators for their young they will happily spawn but put them in a safe environment where nothing will hurt their babies and zilch.
