i also forgot to add, i tested the curent produced by the 2217 by dropping fish flakes with the bar submerged, i would def recommend the 2217 because once you start adding decorations and plants to your tank, the flow decreases. As is, i am planning to put a powerhead in just to help circulate. whichever filter you decide on, keep in my the flow of the tank too. Powerheads can solve the issue so you can get better filtration with a samller filter. Ideal would be the larger filter with more bio media..yadda...yadda...
