Energy efficent water pumps?

So far this is the best one I have found are there better.

4500 MAXI-JET SUBMERSIBLE UTILITY WATER PUMP
This pump has the lowest wattage for the amount of gph it delivers, 58 watts for 1240 gph at 0 head. I can find it for under $100. Any fellow centralians with experience with them?

I haven't used one yet.

If fellow forum goers that have used it says its good I'll save up the $100. Wallet is full of moths more these days than cash.

3 yr warranty and its made by marineland i would say its a good deal and marineland takes care of problems.

I think it would all depend on what you are using it for. It may not be as efficient with any type of head pressure. Have you compared the pressure curse against any of the usual suspects? Quiet One, Mag Drive, etc...

Marineland is a good company, looks like a decent pump, I would give it a try.

Pharaoh I will give the pressure curve a look over and compare to others.

Sounds like I might save up to get this pump, I just need to check what Pharaoh mentioned and then I can get my decision.

These might help. You can compare the similar models and judge for yourself. The Quiet One 4000 seems to be a close competitor plus it allows for a big more head height. The actual graph isn't available for yours, but you can get the idea by just comparing the numbers.
