The 4000 does sound better. It also looks like fosters and smith has the marineland 4500 listed as 70 watts instead of the 58 else where.
While the quiet one 4000 is listed as 50 watts at 1017gph and 10 ft head so I have realized now that the best pump for me is the
Quiet One 4000. It is cheaper to buy, and to operate and is powerful enough for me.
