I guess I'll plop this here

Well, its been a minute, figured I'd update. I've started up a wee daphnia hatchery as my badidae haven't been thriving on frozen cyclopeze, ordered a bunch live off some random site, we'll see how that goes. "Flash" my L204 died about a month ago, no flux in params, no other deaths or odd behaviors, he just died one day, no signs of parasites, clean body/gills and no parasites on autopsy so...whatever....he'd been living in captivity as an adult for 4 years...1 with me and 3 with his previous owner....wild caught before that...so who knows how old he was. Replaced him with a L104 since they're basically the same...and a little more predictable...named him "Thunder" in honor of the whole "flash...thunder" thing in the military. He's porked up quickly and is thriving. Made a trip up to Washington for christmas to see the wife's family and stopped by clark's feed and seed in bellingham and grabbed myself a pair of apistogrammas....and well, lets see, I'm moving to Alaska in May so I'm swapping my SA up to a 125 high tech. Going to buy all the hardware for the 125 online and have it shipped to my parents in AK, then ship all the livestock overnight and drive the rest of my tanks up with me. So I'm starting planning on discus I think for it also possibly an L191. gonna have pressurized Co2, digital control head, and a 40B sump for filtration I think.

Wow looking good fozzy. Sorry bout ur pleco he was awesome looking. But atleast it seems it was natural and not a tank issue. Still my condolences. AK sounds awesome. And the ground cover came in great. I'd love to kick it sometime before u leave and check out ur tanks again. Or even show ya mine. Not anywhere near as cool as Urs but I'm still proud of them XD

nice update! one of the angel's tail fins is ripped or bitten off, or maybe it's just the way it is. Great looking tanks!

ugh...that's the female...the male is quite mean to her, never actually bites her or really harasses her...there is just normally at least one occasion in a day where he wants her to be elsewhere and removes a little fin to get the message across. She never gets a mark on her body, or a bite far enough down on the fin to make it hard for her to swim...so i haven't separated them yet...but it is a bummer since she is the pretty veil tail... also kindof unfair since the male's finnage is effing perfect...of course...in perfect redneck fashion she is a glutton for the punishment and follows him around everywhere like a sparkly haggard shadow >.<
