Im thinking about getting a couple Gold Dojo Loaches for my new 55gal, but I do have some questions.
(1)I have a sand bottom which I know they prefer, but I have egg crate underneath to help support a rock formation Im making and putting in there.. will they be okay with the egg crate or will it hurt them when they try to burro? I have a couple inches of sand above it.
(2)What I have read states they do well with company of their own kind... so Im thinking 2-3... sound good?
(3)Will they be okay with a BGK? They one I have is about 4 inches right, about the same size as the loaches at the store Id be getting them from. I know in the end the BGK will get bigger than them but being as they are supposed to be mainly peacefull, I was hoping it would work out.
(4)Lastly, from what I have read, the highest end of the temperature scale for them is 77f. Is it really going to hurt them if the temp gets a little higher? I mean I will do my best to get the temp stable there before I get them, but it might be difficult to keep the temp constantly between 76-77 (76 being the lower end for the other fish).
