Thank you for your help. Yes, I just got a API water test kit and I love it. I changed the filter last Friday. I am trying to find out what the numbers are supposed to be for my tank. I tested my water a couple of hours ago and this is what I got...PH was 7.6, ammonia was spot on, Hi Range was 8.0, nitrate2 was 0, nitrate3 was 0. Is that all good? Another ? I have is that I bought a marineland Bio-wheel 150. Could it be adding to much air for my tank being a 20 high? Maybe she wasn't pregnant just bloated? But then that wouldn't be the reason for my male dieing..
