In a 5gal maybe... tetras (mostly just neons), ADF....i feel like you are limited because locally the petco/marts just cycle thru the same fish!
and personally i wouldn't recommend danios because they are very active and usually get the food first, probably a minor issue since the tank is small but just saying.
