green terror death

My green terror had been acting noticeably different and i noticed a bump forming on the bottom of its body. Before i could do anything about it, i found it dead on the bottom of the tank. I pulled him out and this is what the bump looks like. Ive never seen this before in my life. 55gallon tank 2 red parrot 2 clown loach small 1 electic blue jack dempsey and a plesoctomus. Has anyone seen this or know what it is?

It looks a bit ulcerated, doesn't it?

I know this is a sensitive issue, but... did you cut the lump open? It could be a good way to determine if it was caused by a tumor, a parasite, an infection, or etc.

I thought about cutting it open to see if there was something in it but i just didnt want to do that to my favorite fish. I thought maybe someone could tell me what it was. The sack was kind of clear as if it was a gel or something. I have no idea. Hopefully someones seen this before.
